Landscape Technician
As a Landscape Technician, you will play a key role in transforming and improving the outdoor spaces of our clients. Your responsibilities will include a variety of tasks, from assisting with installation of hardscapes and irrigation systems, to planting trees and shrubs. If you love working outdoors, have a strong work ethic, and enjoy collaborating with and learning from a great team, we want to hear from you!
Overview of Responsibilities
- Assist with hardscape landscape installations under the direction of an Installation Foreman. These projects may include (but are not limited to) elements such as patios, retaining walls, stairs and plantings.
- Work outdoors in a variety of weather settings
- Ensure all tools are well maintained, organized and ready to use each day.
- Assist in loading and unloading trucks at the start and end of each day.
- Get training on the job while learning new skills in landscape construction
- Occasionally operate or assist in operation of heavy equipment to assist in the construction process after proper training has been completed.
- Work with a team to meet project deadlines efficiently while delivering exceptional results
- Maintain the high quality of craftsmanship required of Wells Hollow Landscaping.
- Hours of work will be generally M-F from 7:30am - 5:30pm during the construction season.
Requirements and Skills
- Previous experience in the landscaping industry preferred, but not required
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and safety
- Passion for working outdoors
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
- Reliability and Accountability
- Working knowledge of machine operation and/or mechanics
- Enjoy learning new skills and applying them in real time
- A good driving record and valid driver’s license.
*A CDL is a plus and will earn a higher rate of pay
Compensation & Benefits
- Starting pay will be $17-$23/hour based on experience and certifications
